Representatives from major Chinese corporations held discussions with Pakistan's Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar in Beijing  exploring investment opportunities in various sectors.


 Delegations from companies such as China Minmetals Corporation, Metallurgical Corporation of China Limited, China Communications Construction Company, China Road and Bridge Corporation, and China Oil and Foodstuffs Corporation engaged with Kakar to explore potential investments in mining, minerals, construction, CPEC, agriculture, renewable energy, and other fields.


During the meetings, Chairman of Minmetals, Weng Zuliang, and Chairman of Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC), Chen Jianuang, expressed profound interest in investing in Pakistan, emphasizing their dedication to enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations. Prime Minister Kakar elaborated on Pakistan's business-friendly policies and initiatives, including the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to attract foreign investments.


Additionally, Wang Haihuai, CEO of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), and the Chairman of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), discussed ongoing projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). 


Both companies expressed eagerness to expand their investments in infrastructure construction, renewable energy, and other sectors within Pakistan. Kakar warmly welcomed these projects, emphasizing the vital role of infrastructure development in advancing Pakistan's economy and tourism, particularly emphasizing the importance of railway and road infrastructure.
