| Pakistan Refinery achieves its highest-ever production and sales volume in previous month. |
In September 2023, Pakistan Refinery Limited (PSX: PRL) announced a historic accomplishment by attaining its peak sales and petroleum product production levels. The company shared this remarkable achievement with the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
This significant milestone was reached due to successful strategic shifts and efficient operational practices. The filing highlighted that PRL's operational excellence and efficiency were demonstrated by an unprecedented average feed rate of 5340 tons. Notably, the production of middle distillate surged to over 77,000 tons, with diesel accounting for 73,423 tons, marking an all-time high in the refinery's history.
In addition to this, diesel sales reached an extraordinary figure of over 82,000 tons, setting a new record for the highest-ever diesel sales in a single month. The company's strategic decision to convert Naphtha into Motor Spirit (MS) led to the production of over 26,000 tons of MS 92, another achievement that broke previous records.
